GÎTE CHEZ MARCEL ET DOMINIQUE - Gite in Grand Place les Hauts, Mafate
Originally from Mafate, the Bilin family welcomes walkers wishing to discover the charm and authenticity of Mafate’s life.
Your hosts Dominique and Marcel like paying small attentions to their guests that will make their stay memorable.
This recent gite completed in 2014 can accommodate from 12 to 15 people:
• 1 dormitory sleeping 7 persons with bunk beds (double bed with single bunk bed + 2 bunk beds + 1 double bed)
• 1 dormitory sleeping 3 people (2 bunk beds + 1 single bed)
• 2 double bedrooms
• 3 bathrooms with walk-in shower, basin, toilet
The linen is provided: sheets, duvets, pillowcases.
Don't forget your towels!
Breakfast
Included in the half board formula, it consists of:
• Tea, coffee, milk, hot chocolate
• Bread, butter
• Homemade jams
• Juice
The table d’hote
In the evening, your hosts offer meals at their table d’hote.
Sample Menu
• House punch, cabbage fritters, banana crisps ...
• A choice of 2 carris: for example, jackfruit with smoked pork, smoked pork with aubergines, duck stew ...
• Rice, beans, rougail
• Cassava cake
In case of deer stew, please add 3€.
How to get there?
• By Sentier Scout (5 to 6 hours)
• By the Rivière des Galets (2 ½ - 3 hours from Deux Bras, with a possible previous ride in a 4WD)
• By the Canalisation des Orangers (6 to7 hours from Sans Souci)
• By the Maïdo (about 6 hours)
