GITE ELOÏSE - Gite and table d’hotes in Grand Place les Hauts - Mafate
Come and meet Eloise and her family in their house in Grand Place les Hauts. Native of this hamlet in the heart of Mafate, the Thomas family offers a warm welcom a la Creole in an authentic rural Creole house.
The gite is located in a detached house near the owners’house. It offers 16 beds in two dormitories of 8 beds each. Shared facilities (hot shower) and a large veranda are available, as well as a garden with a view over the cliff of le Maïdo and the Piton Carré.
Right next to the gite, a "Ti Kaz en Paille" offers the charm of yesteryear's huts. Made of vetiver, this straw hut was once the traditional dwelling in Reunion. The opportunity to live a unique and unforgettable experience!
You will be welcomed at the table d’hotes in the family house to enjoy a delicious cuisine cooked on a wood fire by Éloïse.
At Eloise’s, they grow "z'animo la kour" (poultry and livestock) and vegetables just like in "tan lontan" (yesteryear), which gives a delicious local cuisine.
