Boat trips in Reunion Island
Although Reunion is an island in the Indian Ocean, its people is somewhat not naturally turned towards the sea. That has not stopped some enthusiasts to offer peaceful sea excursions on cruising catamarans, glass bottom boat, comfortable motorboats or even an old traditional fishing boat ... Another way of contemplating Reunion from afar.

If you decide to go out at sea, you can choose among several options :
Boat trips with a skipper
- Scuba diving repels you?
You can still admire the coral beds and their myriad of colorful fish if you go aboard a motor boat, usually with a glass bottom boat. The smaller boats are equipped with a Plexiglas bubble under their hull, which allows passengers (maximum 5) to observe the seabed off the coast of Saint Gilles or Saint Leu for thirty minutes. The larger boats offer the same sight but go further to the bay of Saint Paul and off the Boucan Canot beach. You may come across some dolphins, and you might even meet whales ... Anyhow, a trip with lunch or "cocktails at sunset" at sea is very nice and highly recommended!

- If you choose to go out on a sailing trip, let yourself be gently rocked by the waves on those big cruising catamarans which also offer lunch or an evening drink at sea, but also swimming, sea kayaking , trolling or introduction to sailing, it's up to you to decide what to do during your few hours at sea ... Those who prefer the charm of an old ship will surely have spotted the red square sails that regularly criss cross the bay of Saint Paul. This old Norwegian fishing boat takes on a privileged few upon reservation.

Boat trips without a skipper

If you want to go to sea on a boat without a skipper, you will find rentals of motorboats. You will be asked to have a boating license to rent one by the half-day or full day. Fishing equipment is often offered when renting.
Les clubs de voile à la Réunion
The more athletic of you will not be outdone since several sailing clubs exist mainly in the west and offer courses and initiations: Optimist or windsurfing for children, small single-hulled dinghies or catamarans to bring you even more sensations.
