Created in 2004, the Bassin Bleu guest house offers a quiet stay for families and good value for money in Reunion Island. This guest house of Creole architecture has been built by Yvon Hoarau outside the village of Cilaos in the hamlet of Bras-Sec.
Surrounded by majestic mountains, le Bassin Bleu is close to several hiking trails in the heart of the cirque of Cilaos. From its terrace, you are at the foot of the mountains: le Piton des Neiges, le Bonnet de Prêtre, le Kerveguen...
Milaine Hoarau, your host, will welcome you with simplicity, friendliness and courtesy in the tradition of Creole mountain people. You will get there through one route only: the "RN5", with its 400 bends that links the coast to the village of Cilaos where 3 springs were found in 1819. You can now take the baths in the Thermal Baths of Cilaos. It is also an ideal location for superb hiking or just lazing around or culinary discovery.
