LE LABYRINTHE EN CHAMP THE - Culture of tea and geranium

A family farm, a warm welcome for children and adults, Le Labyrinthe en Champ Thé is located in the small Creole village of Grand Coude 25 minutes from St. Joseph. The route leading to the village gives you the possibility to stop at the view point of Petit Serré with two views of the Rivière des Remparts and the Langevin river.

Emmanuelle Guichard is the one who thought of creating “Le Labyrinthe en Champ Thé” (“The Enchanted Labyrinth / Field Tea”) in over 2 acres of tall tea tree forest. You will visit the cultures of tea and geranium.

This member of the "Quality Tourism " label is part of the "Welcome to the Farm" network and its products are certified organic by Ecocert.

Johny and Emmanuelle have been growing Reunionese tea and geranium for over 10 years. These passionate farmers will reveal the history and origins of tea cultivation in Reunion, as well as their cutting and manufacturing techniques. The tour/treasure hunt called « De l’arbre à la tasse » ("From tree to cup") is an entertaining and informative discovery, where you will enjoy getting lost in the maze of tea trees! The shop

Souvenirs, gifts, discovery of farm products: white tea, green tea, tea jelly, essential oils, geranium hydrolate, honey, local vegetables ...

Tasting will be offered with tea, small geranium madeleines ...

2 options for visitors:

• Guided tours at 10 am and 2 pm
Individual visitors are kindly requested to book the previous day.

Recommended 10 days in advance for reservation schools, associations and councils.

• Self-guided tours from 9am to 12pm and from 1pm to 5pm from Monday to Sunday
Duration of tour: 1:30 hour
Possibility to picnic on premise.
Access for people with reduced mobility to the entrance of the plantation, the toilet and the shop.
