In Rani's family, women have been masseuses for generations. Rani has always perpetuated this tradition, and she validated her state diploma as a professional masseuse in Thailand in 2010.
Installed in the west of Reunion in 2020, Rani now offers her Thai massages in l’Ermitage les Bains.
Extremely complete, a Thai massage combines the virtues of different techniques; the masseuse uses her palms, thumbs, arms, elbows, but also her forearms and knees to restore flexibility and mobility to the body.
* Thai massage: practiced without oil, it is a manual therapy aimed at rebalancing energy flows (the "sens") by compressing muscles and limbs, stretching, identifying and relaxing knots using manoeuvres, massages, pressure on specific points running through the “sens”.
* The relaxing massage: softer, this massage is done with oils (coconut oil, essential oils).
* The mixed massage: for people who want a mix between the two techniques, this gentle but nevertheless firm massage is done with oils.
* Herbal compresses: coming directly from Thailand, these are massage pouches with beneficial herbs that are administered hot. This practice is only done indoors.
Places of practice
Massages are performed indoors (at her home) or in the shade of casuarina trees facing the nearby lagoon.
