RESTAURANT ET GITE ALICE - Hell Bourg, Cirque of Salazie
Since 1989, Mr. and Mrs. Cocotier have been delighting tourists passing through Hell Bourg, the inevitable Creole village of Salazie. Locals sometimes come from the other end of the island to appreciate Alexis’s traditional and tasty cuisine and Alice’s and her team’s warm welcome.
For a few years now, Alice also offers accommodation in the heart of the village, in the same location as the restaurant.
The restaurant Alice
With a capacity of 110 seats, the restaurant Chez Alice remains yet very friendly.
In a traditional decor, the portions served are generous and there is a good price / quality ratio.
Creole specialties are served, as well as Chinese cuisine and some French dishes.
Salazie’s specialties are obviously in the spotlight, and revolve around the chayote (in a stew or a gratin), Salazie’s sausage (rougail saucisse) ...
Creole dishes are served in pretty pots as well as rice, beans, and accompanying rougail.
To satisfy all tastes, Alice also offers dishes of French cuisine, sometimes revisited: trout with ginger sauce, steak with chips and salad, roast chicken with green pepper sauce ...

On Sundays, the menu is € 22 and offers a wider choice of daily specials.
Note that we also offer takeaways for € 5.50, a convenient base for a picnic in the countryside or at the ancient thermal baths!

The gite Alice
In recent years, Alice and Alexis also offer accommodation in their B&B, which is located just behind the restaurant, very convenient for half board and breakfast served in the restaurant!
At your disposal :
• 2 dormitories of 8 people, each with a private bathroom (2 showers / sink / toilet)
• 6 double rooms with private bathroom (shower, sink, toilet)
• The linen is provided (sheets, blankets, pillowcases, towels).
Breakfast is served at the restaurant from 7:15 to 9 am and consists of:
• Hot drinks
• Fruit juice
• Bread, butter, jam
• Seasonal fruit
• Homemade cake
Check-in is at the restaurant from 2 pm, check-out must be before 10 am.
